Location: Viganj, Pelješac Peninsula, Dalmatia – CROATIA

How to arrive?

The nearest airports are Dubrovnik and Split, with daily flights from all europian capitals. If you are flying from UK there are cheep Easyjet flies from Gatwick to Split and Flybe from Birmingham to Dubrovnik. From Dubrovnik you need a 2 hour drive in a car and from Split a 4 hour drive by car or 3 hour sea voyage in a high speed ferry. You can hire a taxi at the airport or make a reservation with a Mini-bus that drives to Korčula every day. If you are comming by car using or, the best way to come to Viganj is driving the A1 Highway to Ploče and then take a car ferry to Trpanj. Another half of an hour and you are in Viganj. Also thera are big car ferries from Dubrovnik, Split, Rijeka to Korcula, and from there, it’s a fifteen minute ferry crossing to Orebic.

Special Offer

Special activities can be arranged with owner in april-may and september-october period, such is picking olives, grapes, fishing, sailing, mountain climbing and visiting historical sites such as Nakovana and surrounding caves and ruins.

A local ferry runs to Korcula from a jetty a short walk from the Villa where further ferries can be caught to the National park of Mljet island and the cities of Split and Dubrovnik. Viganj and its neighbouring villages of Kućište and Lovišće offer a range of restaurants and bars that provide a welcome break from the heat of day and a place of real beauty for evening drinks and dinner. All serve a range of local produce and fish caught on the day, together with excellent local wine. Orebić, 5 kms away, is the main town for shopping, markets, banks etc. Viganj has a number of windsurfing and kite boarding schools and plays host to an international windsurf and kite board competition each July. Other sporting activities include water skiing and wake boarding, scuba diving, sailing – small and blue water yachts, paragliding, tennis, hiking and mountain biking. In july and august a local championship in waterpolo attracts lots of tourist.
